ONCE IN A LIFETIME FISHING

TRIP.

Let's talk about this in a bit more detail:

Timing and Season: Steelhead run in the Clearwater River typically occurs in fall and winter, with peak times varying slightly each year. Contact us to consult and to determine the best timing for your fishing trip.

Guided Fishing Trip Techniques:

Drift Fishing: Use bait like roe (salmon eggs) or shrimp, drifted naturally downstream using appropriate weights to keep the bait near the riverbed where steelhead often feed.

  1.

Back-Trolling: Giant Clearwater B’Run Steelies have a huge attitude towards these Mag lip 3.5 steelhead plugs. Slowly back trolled 50’ behind the boat with a small bait shrimp on the belly hook these lures can be deadly. Steelhead will slam these plugs so hard at times you can’t hardly get your rod out of the rod holder!

Patience and Persistence: Steelhead fishing requires patience and persistence. Be prepared to spend time on the river, adjusting techniques and locations as needed based on current conditions.
